Hi James, I should've emailed you all back and said it was one of my errors.
I missed part of the directions on the QWS site on how to set the VST up,
but I did it a second time and now it all works. Thanks a bunch, and I am
sorry I didn't notify you all earlier about my blunder. Oh, one last thing,
is there a way, for example to get my midi track from my piano created with
QWS turned into an MP3? Should I just use recording software and record what
comes from the sound card that my keyboard plays through? HTH.

select patches via QWS when using VST instruments. It's the proverbial

However, you did not mention which synths you are using - so there is a
possibility that this is a problem peculiar to the particular synth you
are
using.
The thing that springs to mind is that you mentioned that all the settings
in the QWS Track Properties are -1.
In order to send any MIDI parameters for a track, you *must* set the MIDI
channel for the track. Valid channels are 1-16.
Typically, you will have to set the channel and then OK the dialog to
confirm the setting, then you can go back and hear the other parameters
take
effect in realtime.
