Well, the midi interfaces I've seen, and the cables, have 2 ports in one so 
to speak. A squarish 15-pin (IIRC) port for the computer, which connects to 
two round 9-pin (iirc) midi ports, one for in and one for out. Those are the 
traditional ones so to speak, the USB ones are slightly different.
