Okay, quick survey here. So far the options I know about for using virtual sounds with QWS are as follows. Note that I'm including only things that connect to QWS, not the wide range of stand-alone, Direct X, and VST programs that connect to those devices. Here's the ones I know about. What am I missing? (Note no DirectX options here yet) I'll use these to build headings for a document on using them. Then I can take in what people know about setting them up, get the formatting and wording consistent, and build a technical document on using these things. (I have technical writer skills from earlier jobs) Hubi's Loopback Generator (MIDI, XP and earlier) VST Host (VST) BassMIDI (Sound Font driver, multiple versions) MIDI Yoke (MIDI, 32-bit systems) Munt (MT-32 emulation driver) Loop-MIDI (MIDI, 64 bit systems) Yamaha XG (WDM) (XG Driver, XP, maybe later operating systems)
I know there are ones I'm missing, including something called something like Maple Leaf. > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of > James Bowden > Sent: Friday, February 20, 2015 3:31 PM > To: QWS list > Subject: Re: QWS List MIDI-Yoke and VSTHost > > Hi, > > Yes, send me a completed document and we can make an article for the > QWS site. > > With best regards, > > James. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Nicole Massey" <[email protected]> > To: "QWS list" <[email protected]> > Sent: Friday, February 20, 2015 7:56 PM > Subject: RE: QWS List MIDI-Yoke and VSTHost > > > > Steve, please take notes.
