Hi,
I was running Win 7. It seems as though Loop Midi is more complicated
and it intrudes itself at odd times.
Midi yoke is the first program which is fussy enough to stop the
installation when confronted with a UAC message.

First, I'm not sure if that program still works on Windows 10, as I
haven't seen any news of it since WIndows XP days. There is a pretty
good alternative called LoopMIDI, which is definitely updated and
allows you to assign custom names and settings for each virtual port.
If the below doesn't work, I suggest giving this a look.
One way you can run the installer without a UAC prompt is to go to the
context menu and choose "run as administrator". This will essentially
grant the program administrative rights before it asks for them, which
will prevent it from doing so at all. If anything is going to stop the
install from being interrupted, it should be that.

Good evening,
The subject more or less tells the story.
The Midi yoke program starts to install. The installation is
interrupted by UAC and I'm asked if I really want to continue. I
agree to continue, but the Midiyoke installer tells me that the
installation was interrupted and i must start over.
This obviously a closed circle. How can I break into it and allow the
program to finish the installation?
I had no idea I'd have to re-examine all this.
Thank you for your ideas.
