We should also take into account the setting of the IF gain (R-519). I do not know if the procedure promoted by Chuck Rippel (Y2K-R3. Page 9-88) is the best one or not. This procedure uses the IF deck self-generated noise to adjust the gain... But from unit to unit, the mileage may vary a lot, and the global measured sensitivity also...
