Applications are invited for five positions. We are interested in the
areas of Analysis, differential equations, Algebra, Theory of numbers
and Statistics, but applications from all areas of mathematics will be
considered.
The minimum qualifications for this positions are Ph. D. degree in
mathematical sciences and great promise in research and
teaching. Resposabilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate
courses and seminars, conducting research and participating in service
activities.
Available: July 2000.
Applications deadline: May 5, 2000.
Applicants should send a letter of application, curriculum vitae,
undergraduate and graduate transcripts, statements on teaching and
research and arrange to have, a least, three letters of recommendation
send directly to the chair of the department.

DEPARTAMENTO DE MATEMÁTICAS
Se requiere vincular cinco docentes de tiempo completo, para empezar a
trabajar en julio del 2000. El departamento considerará candidatos en
todos los campos de la matemática pero está especialmente interesado
en las áreas de Análisis, Estadística, Álgebra, y Ecuaciones
Diferenciales.
Los aspirantes deben tener título de Ph. D., reconocida trayectoria
investigativa y docente, comprobada con publicaciones en revistas de
reconocido prestigio.
Los interesados deben enviar carta de aplicación, curriculum vitae,
lista de publicaciones, copias de los títulos académicos obtenidos
(pregrado, magister, Ph.D) y una propuesta de investigación a
desarrollar en el Departamento de Matemáticas en el primer año, a la
jefatura del departamento. Los aspirantes deben gestionar el envío, a
la misma dirección, de tres cartas de recomendación.
La fecha límite para la recepción de documentos es el 5 mayo del 2000.
