At the url http://www.economia.unimi.it/R/

you can find the latest build of RAqua (which is a preview of what can be the Aqua GUI for Darwin R).

Unstuff the archive RAqua.app.sit, drag the RAqua icon into the Applications folder of your MacOS X System and double click on its icon to launch R. You can use quartz() device.

This version has been built to use AquaTclTk if properly installed.

For further instructions see the above page.

p.s. I'll not upgrade this version till a more functional gui and a finished quartz() device is available. You can try to build daily R-devel versions of RAqua on your own following the instruction on the cited web page.
