Dear all, We are pleased to announce our upcoming in-person Physalia course on Marine Genomics, held at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research in Heraklion, Crete, from 25 to 29 May 2026. Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/marine-genomics/ ]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/marine-genomics/ ) This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the rapidly evolving field of marine genomics, combining theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on training using real marine datasets. Over five days, participants will learn to assess genome assemblies, process sequencing data, perform population genomics analyses, and integrate genomic with environmental data in seascape genomics frameworks. The course is designed for graduate students, postdocs, and researchers with some background in genetics/genomics and evolutionary biology, as well as familiarity with R and UNIX command line. Under the guidance of leading experts, you will develop skills to design and conduct marine genomics studies, interpret complex data, and apply insights to ecology, conservation, and fisheries management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a unique setting while connecting with peers and experts in the field. Best regards, Valentina
