You can try RKWard (http://rkward.sf.net). Uncheck Edit->Enable editing for a "view" mode. Allows to select multiple rows/columns/cells, but no discontiguous ranges. No dynamic filter or sort modes. The editor can only be used inside an RKWard-session, but you can run Rcmdr inside of that. Regards Thomas
