Probably: but, yet again, that's from the RStudio people, which is a completely different and entirely autonomous organization. I would like to help you, but the recovery process may well be quite sensitive and you'll need to check with them to make sure a re-install doesn't clobber saved user state. Also: moral of this story = Save your files in a user directory instead of trusting a convenience feature and backup!
