Hi - This seems like a bug, and I don't recall seeing it on the list before: If you use the built-in editor to examine a dataframe with complex numbers, those numbers all turn into characters. E.g.,
[R.app GUI 1.28 (5395) i386-apple-darwin8.11.1] > cxdf<-data.frame(cx=as.complex(22)) > cxdf1<-edit(cxdf) ># now close the edit window > str(cxdf) 'data.frame': 1 obs. of 1 variable: $ cx: cplx 22+0i > str(cxdf1) 'data.frame': 1 obs. of 1 variable: $ cx: chr "22+0i" > sessionInfo() R version 2.9.0 (2009-04-17) i386-apple-darwin8.11.1 locale: en_US.UTF-8/en_US.UTF-8/C/C/en_US.UTF-8/en_US.UTF-8 attached base packages: [1] stats graphics grDevices utils datasets methods base > - Pete --- Peter Dixon Department of Psychology University of Alberta Edmonton, Alberta, Canada T6G 2E9 780-492-2318 780-492-1768 (fax) [email protected] [[alternative HTML version deleted]] _______________________________________________ R-SIG-Mac mailing list [email protected] https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-sig-mac
