Merry Xmas RaceBasers,

The weather forecast for Boxing Day now looks reasonable following a
disastrous-looking map last night. A few showers for Xmas Day and
Boxing Day is the latest from the Met Service.

The Ellerslie track is around the 3.2 [easy] mark currently. I'll
stick my neck out and say we'll see a track on the firm side of easy
when racing starts on Sunday. This should suit all runners.

Bring it on! I'll be one of the mad buggers scrambling for a seat in
the one public grandstand now left at the ARC.

I don't see much action, though, occurring on the betting front.
I'll keep a close eye on DEVOTED & FIGURINIT in the Newmarket. D is
on trial for the Railway following recovery from a deep-seated stone
bruise, while F is being readied for the Telegraph.

VAALU is an interest too although I'm expecting him to be scratched.
The Newmarket looks like a trap betting-wise.

LASHED rounds up my interest as she's a member of my 'pregnant mare'
betting stable, and is likely to be my sole investment for the day.

Happy punting to all . . .

Regards

Neil
