What was the answer? A very unhelpful response:
"That's a very good question. No one knows the answer."
I've updated the page with something that I hope will be much more
informative. If anyone has questions like this, please don't leave
answers like that for other new users to find. Not only is that
unhelpful, it is detrimental and will lead to confusion.

I agree with you 100%! I'm trying to help coordinate the Summer Reboot
effort and I realize that there are many items that are still missing.
I would again urge people to use the Summer Reboot table of contents as
a base to add ideas for which documentation is needed. I would also
urge people (especially those asking for help, me included) to make
notes on the wiki of things that you faced as a problem and managed to
get help for.
Of course, Radiant is open source and the wiki is community-driven, but
I think we're a great community and we can take these issues in stride
as we go ahead.
