Hi Radiant team,
I want to evaluate a few Rails-based CMSes soon. Since I still find
it hard to decide on which Rails CMS to use, I want to blog the
evaluation as well, so others have it easier.
I definitely want to include Radiant, but it doesn't run Rails 3
yet, does it?
I only want to include CMSes that do (and ideally Ruby 1.9). Is it
reasonable to expect that it will do so soon?
I'm not on the team, but I've been evaluating Radiant recently, and I
think I can answer this for you. The Radiant team seems to be focusing
on releasing a solid 1.0 release -- on 2.3 -- before they fork and
create a Rails 3 (or maybe 3.1) version. No timeframe yet on either of
those. They are in the RC stage with 1.0, though, but it's taking a
bit longer than I was expecting.
