Hello Matthew, Hello Viraj -
The patches tarball is a flat list of files in the current directory. What I do
for installation is create a directory called "patches" in the top level
Radiator distribution directory. I then put the tarball in that directory and
then cd to it. Then I use the following:
zcat patches-2.16.3.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
All of the patched modules will be extracted to this directory (keeping the
tarball intact so I know which one it is).
I then rename the original files that I am going to replace in their normal
directories and copy the patched files to their correct locations:
mv ../Radius/AuthSQL.pm ../Radius/AuthSQL.pm.2.16.3
cp AuthSQL.pm ../Radius/AuthSQL.pm
.....
Then I do my testing using the local files in the distribution directory and if
everything goes well I then do a "make install".
