Hello Rich -
The first thing to do is check with RedBack to find out whether or not they even support this, and if so what the correct radius attribute is. The next thing to do is check with the telco to see whether or not they will allow you to send that attribute to their equipment. BTW - the file "dictionary.redback" in the Radiator 3.0 distribution includes these Redback vendor specifics. VENDORATTR 2352 RB-Client-DNS-Pri 1 ipaddr VENDORATTR 2352 RB-Client-DNS-Sec 2 ipaddr Note that you should start with the standard Radiator dictionary and add or delete entries as required. regards Hugh On Sat, 30 Mar 2002 07:59, Rich B ListServ wrote: > I'm trying to pass DNS server information from my radius server to a client > (it's a pppoe client, we don't have complete control over the RedBack unit > that the telco uses). > > For our dial-up customers, the modem chassis will provide DNS server info, > but for our DSL customers who use pppoe, we would like to provide DNS info. > > I've read through the radiator documentation, and in section 13.2.8 it says > that I can pass any other attribute defined in your dictionary.
