Maybe so, but for all of their screaming, the Democratic Congress and the Democratic President didn't repeal The Patriot Act. So I question their sincerity.

As far as I can tell, the Left was just as terrified of Bush destroying the Constitution as the Right is of Obama now.  Anyone remember the Patriot Act?

I personally think both fears are vastly overblown, though they contain a few grains of truth.  Still, it irks me when journalists appear to ignore half the equation.
