How to create headline text which shows the first letter of a word at different size-- RADICAL CENTRIST POLITICAL POSITIONS ( 1 ) RADICAL Type the word in preferred font style. ( 2 ) RIADICAL Place " I " cursor vertical-line between first and second letters ( 3 ) R ADICAL Hit space bar to separate first letter from rest of word ( 4 ) R ADICAL Run cursor over first letter to highlight it for modification You do this by L Click while holding the mouse control down and moving the cursor to the Left --over the letter ( 5 ) R ADICAL While letter is highlighted go to the Font Size button on your Write Mail window and select the size font you desire. Then........... ( 6 ) R IADICAL Place cursor " I " next to second letter ( 7 ) RADICAL Back space. This is all there is to it. Looks complicated ? Actually this is very simple. Takes maybe 10 seconds once you learn the trick. What I have done is to break down all the exact steps needed. This is totally unlike approximately 90 % of all instructions I have ever seen written by tech people who almost always leave out steps and expect you to know stuff they have not been explicit about. Good instructions are always idiot proof and let the person who needs instruction know exactly what he or she needs to know to actually accomplish the task. Instructions written by tech people FOR other tech people may well take shortcuts, but for non-techies this step-by-step approach is preferable for the simple reason that any business should want its customers to be satisfied. One good way to do exactly this is to provide them with instructions that actually enable them to use its product in ways customers / clients want to use it. Note, even here a step has been omitted ( under item # 5 ) because of my assumption that any user will know, once a letter has been highlighted, to click the highlight "off" once it has been made use of. This kind of project needs to be closely analyzed for assumptions each and every step of the way to do it right. Billy
