Interesting interview with Ron Paul (above) on Neal Cavuto's show in which he
talks about putting principle over party. He discusses the vote whipping
tactics in Congress in which the most coercive pressure point is always, Are
you a team player? As we know, most people are more motivated by need to belong
and fear of being abandoned than by the desire to do what one believes is
right. Not to mention, most people do whatever it takes to keep their jobs.

Americans are increasingly disgusted with party politics. The polls show that
more and more people are calling themselves Independents.

I've had many situations in my life in which I have been confronted with the
team vs. principle conundrum. All of us have. The most challenging part is
that when I spoke what seemed like the truth or otherwise stood on principle I
often paid a price for my action with loss of a friend or a job, or some status
that seemed to be important at the time. That hurts. But it is the way it is
supposed to work.

I wrote this article a while back.

I'm voting for Ron Paul because he is a fallible human being like the rest of
us but he comes closest to embodying the courage, truth and common sense I am
looking for in a leader. I don't see anybody else out there that even comes
close. I don't even care if he wins, or who wins. I need to support Ron Paul.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
