Yeah, I agree.  

If Christianity is to become relevant and renewing to society, we need to 
create cultural capital.  Right now, the church -- especially the conservative 
church -- basically spends its time trying to cash checks against the capital 
from 200 (or more) years ago.

We need to *use* our theology to help the modern world solve real problems, so 
that people look to us as a credible source of answers.  Not everyone will 
believe in Jesus Christ, but they will "believe in the works that we do" -- 
assuming we start actually dong some that matter.

And that is how you save a society.
