2008 is an eternity in California jurisprudence.  The ruling that struck down 
Prop 8 basically enshrines a "right to marry" that is so strong it can reverse 
a constitutional amendment. 

But Muslims won't win this round; the liberal left will win it for them.  There 
are already lawsuits promoting "multi-partner marriage" (polygamy & polyandry) 
and "sibling couples" (incest), starting with targeting the Army for denying 
benefits.  Opponents to these will be demonized the same way those who oppose 
gay marriage are now.  I predict both will be legal within the decade.  Then 
Muslims and heretic Mormons will get to go along for the ride...
