Apparently, according to terror expert Steve Emerson, the Saudi national detained by Boston police yesterday has been cleared of any direct involvement in the bombings. Emerson also said, reported at Jihad Watch in another posting, that the bombings from every indication resemble known patterns used frequently by jihadists in Iraq and elsewhere in the Muslim world. Emerson's comments are little different than those made in more detail in today's NY Times. So far, no TV reports that I am aware of mention this.
