Is it any real surprise that American Protestantism was coopted by nationalism the same way as Luther’s original Reformation? That’s why I’ve been working so hard on what comes next. How do we actually start living out the Biblical Jesus in a way that frees us from our tribes and ghettoes? There’s a lot of energy, Truth and life still in evangelicalism that I plan to leverage, but I’m pretty sure this new wine is not going to fit comfortably into old wine skins.
