In all of this let us not overlook the responsibility of women / young women

for their own choices. What was 15 YO Christine doing at that party?

Worse, the whole prep school environment FEATURED all sort of, uhhh,

"extracurricular activities" and everyone knew it, including parents.

So, yeah, someone pawing my (hypothetical) daughter and I'd be mad as hell also.

But as a teacher I have seen parents defend their offspring regardless of what

a fool a son or daughter has been that brought on the problem in the first
place.

This phenomenon exists just about universally, and I do not like it, but that
is life.

When it comes to ego defense, parents are highly susceptible to gross

non-objectivity about their offspring. "This is my protoplasm, right or wrong."

Spare me, please. I really can't stand that kind of character weakness.

I think Susan Collins had it right. No corroboration by any of the supposed

witnesses Christine identified were at that party, if there even was a party at
that time.

Including a close female friend. of Christine. And her parents and siblings
would not speak on her behalf.

And she refused to turn over the notes from her therapy sessions.
What I have read about these notes is that, to begin with, Christine's
original story was that the party and the incident took place when she
was 17 or 18. Kavanaugh was long gone from the scene by then

What it all looks like was a case of "political memory" in service
to a questionable feminist cause. Was Kavanaugh slandered?
So what? Males are "the enemy" and if a woman chooses to
crap all over a man, he deserves it because he is male.

Anyone care to dispute this evaluation?

Billy

Let’s not turn contempt for coddling into condoning genuine exploitation of
women...

Hey Billy,

protect them from the verbal violence of, say, Heather Mac
Donald<http://takimag.com/article/more_hysterics_on_campus_steve_sailer/#axzz5TQ2bjzEI>
or else their lives will be ruined forever echoes Blasey Ford’s contention
that she was made permanently weaker by being pawed by a cute boy at some
uncertain time and place.

I’m confused. Surely there’s a lot of false accusations and victim playing. But
is the author implying being pawed against your will by a boy is no big deal?
At least If he’s cute?!?

I’d happily take a shotgun to any kid who tried that with my daughter. Let’s
not turn contempt for coddling into condoning genuine exploitation of women...
