Every month Rackspace subtracts my contracted amount from my bank account.

At least they are supposed to. I also made it very clear to them that I wanted 
all

correspondence with me to take place via my Rackspace account, not AOL.


I keep a reduced service AOL account open to protect e-mails that were not 
transferred

to Rackspace when I switched one year ago.   No idea why all of my 20,000 emails

were not transferred, but far less than that number made the trip.


I hardly ever look at my AOL stuff,  maybe once a month, mostly to delete 
e-mails

that keep showing up from services I  no longer have much use for.


I appreciate your help but have no idea what this is all about.

FYI. Turns out Billy’s domain expired.  So they turned off his email, and 
probably sent the notice to one of his obsolete accounts.
:-(

After multiple attempts, Rackspace support finally acknowledged the Catch-22.

The only solution they came up with was for me
to request a change of administration. They’ll email Billy, and if he doesn’t 
reply I can take over and pay the bill.

I just wanted you all in the loop. For all I know Billy will get pissed off at 
me for doing this, but at least he’ll be back online.

Thanks for contacting us for help regarding 
buglephilosophy.com<http://buglephilosophy.com>. When I checked on the domain, 
I noticed two things:

-The domain's registration is through RackSpace
-The domain's registration expired on 11th January.

When a domain's registration expires, any website will not resolve, nor will it 
be possible for incoming mail to reach the specified servers.

So, the best thing for your friend to do would be to contact his domain 
reseller, RackSpace, and arrange to renew the domain. That should have things 
up & running with his email in short order.

My friend owns buglephilosophy.com<http://buglephilosophy.com> through your DNS 
listing. However, something happened to his email where it no longer receives 
incoming messages. He doesn't have good phone service, so there's no way to 
contact him. He can still send email (and is getting annoyed because he thinks 
nobody is replying to him). Is there any way you could check his mail settings?
