Hi, HackManhattan HAMs, I'm interested in getting my Technicians License, and rather like the HM model (haven't actually been to the space though) so thought I'd introduce myself.
I recently started working with RC quadcopters, inspired to tackle various autonomous tasks, leading to use of onboard video and FPV, and immediately into conflict with FCC regulations... So yeah, why NOT get a HAM license?! Well that and it has always been on my TODO list (my CW is weak, but exists - and yes... I know it is no longer required :( ). I'm looking forward to meeting others with varied interests, and thought I would visit the space during open hours tomorrow (Tues. 5/13) - were any radio operators planning on being in? ...Chad
