In a way it's not at all surprising. Moving from purely mains powered devices to possibly battery powered isn't at all an easy step, and will require very careful hardware and software design for it to work effectively. I worked for fifteen years writing software for mobile telephones and know from painful experience how tricky it is to squeeze the maximum lifetime from a battery. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Logitech under-estimated this and currently have the devices running for about half an hour on a full charge and are trying to figure out where all those amps are going ;-)
