I had a dud unit (with a different problem--no power whatsoever).  I
had purchased it through Amazon, and at the time of the problem it had
gone out of stock.  My support incident went through the same tier 2
escalation.  The support team sent me a prepaid label to return the
unit, and they shipped me a new one after they received the return.  It
works fine so far.

I know it's frustrating not to be able to find it locally, but Logitech
was pretty responsive in my case.
