So my husband was AWESOME and got me a GRACE DIGITAL AUDIO internet radio for xmas.. i was PSYCHED because i really wanted the ability to wake up to Howard Stern in the morning..
Well, that thing SUCKS and apparently their customer support doesn't give a rats a$$.. So i am returning it... i have been reading great things about the squeezbox line of products, but I want to make sure I understand it correctly. Do I need any ADDITIIONAL subscriptions to my sirius subscription? If i do, are they paid? whats the cost? Can I run this WITHOUT my computer being on 24/7 - it's already running 18/7 - i need to it rest when i do :) and finally.. how does the alarm function work? is it pretty dependable? the biggest issue with this other one was I could not get it to connect to my wireless connection AND to sirius before their alloted 60 seconds when the buzzer alarm went off Basically, it had a setting to keep it connected, but that never seemed to work and it would loose connection and it always took three tries to get it reconnect. I'd love to hear from some people who are using this radio as an alarm clock with sirius as well. Thanks for the help. Oh, and i am a pretty tech-oriented person. I do web developement, run a hosting server, and love gadgets, so no need to "dumify" certain things.
