ok... i read through that one 2 page thread on the alarm function.. seems the only problem is if your router disconnects and reboots with a different IP address.. thats SOO unlikely, and i thought that it wouldnt really matter because the house IP address is different than the items behind the firewall.. I dont know. I know that my computer's ip hasn't changed in a LONG time.. the standard 192.168.2.X X being the number based on gadgets.. so I have 6 connected, so it will be 1-6
I have my router to set as a virtual static ip.. so it wont change unless everything is powered down and when it tries to power up again it can't find the same address.. but that would be SO rare. SO i have one more question.. Can I connect it to my computer at night??
