Trying to help ya lindsay ... Don't understand what you're getting at.

I'm also brand new to Squeezebox and the radio and I love it.

The "server software" is *only* for listening to your music files that
are on your computer. You don't even have to install it! 

Listening to Sirius on your Squeezebox radio is as simple as

1) getting a "premium" sirius streaming account on www.sirius.com
2) installing the sirius internet radio app on your squeezebox radio by
going to www.mysqueezebox.com
3) configuring (right on mysqueezebox.com)your sirius app with your
login and password

Now, after all that, when you turn on your radio (NO, you don't need
your pc to be on) you'll see a "Sirius Internet Radio" option in the
menu, select it, and listen to whatever channel you want.

And YES, you can set the alarm to wake to Sirius.

Simple. Do you understand?
