garym - thanks for the links - very interesting indeed ! In my first test I only set the alarm 5minutes ahead - too short to test alarm-WOL-packages as it turns out.
So I tested again - I set an alarm for both my Boom and my Radio 20minutes ahead (good to have both devices :) ). Then turned off my (7.4.1) SB-Server and tracked all network traffic for WOL packages. 10minutes before the scheduled alarm the Boom indeed sent 4 WOL packages (all with a 10second delay). The Radio unfortunately stayed 'silent'. So either I did a mistake when analysing the network traffic - or this nice and very useful feature doesn't work for the Radio :( As long as noone can contradict my observations it seems that you need a 24/7 server (MySB.com or a local server) for the Radio alarms (or use the srvpowerctl plugin in the hope that this one can convince a local server to wake up right on time). -- bluegaspode 1x SB-Controller+Receiver (Duet), 1xSB-Boom. 1xSB-Radio Server (7.4.1) running on SheevaPlug (Ubuntu) with attached Western Digital MyBook Essential.
