I actually like the screen the way it was, so I'm glad Ben is reverting the behavior. Leave it playing by doing nothing, snooze it, or turn the alarm off (and make the audio stop)...
I, personally, really don't care about the 'now playing' screen while the alarm is ongoing (though I understand others may). I'd also like to see the alarm dialog stay there for as long as nothing is done by the user since I'd rather not be forced to take action before 60 seconds elapses, lest I lose the option to take action. Add a request for the clock (time) to be larger alongside (or under/over) the alarm dialog and I think I wouldn't have any complaints about the alarm activation UI...
