I completely agree with this.

Regarding alarm screen savers, Ben attached a patch in this bug report
earlier that makes it possible to do add alarm screen savers as third
party applets:

However, for the next release if we want to prioritize, I think the
current solution with off meaning "turn off alarm and stop music" and
back button meaning "exit alarm popup screen without stopping music or
alarm" will work good enough.

I think it's important to remember that spending time making this user
interface perfect takes up time that can be used for other more
important issues. IMHO the primary function of the Radio is to play
music not to trigger an alarm, so I'd rather want to prioritize
perfecting the interface towards the music library. It's of course
important that the alarm actually plays in 100% of the cases when it has
been programmed to play but that's already handled in other threads.
