Hello Michael,

>Or in other words: if the clock is not set, screensavers are
disabled.

This I understand now, but I have to admit that it took some time for
me to realise this. An average non-techy user will not be able to find
out why the screensavers don't show, and in that case a simple message
on the screen might be helpful.

But then of course, an average user will not use beta firmwares. The
reason I got a different server version vs. firmware version on the
Radio was because I disabled automatic checking of available updates in
the server software. Now I know that I should not do that any more.

>The above behaviour is by design. But if the clock doesn't get set,
then there's something wrong (connectivity?).

Yes, that I fear also. The radio is however playing songs from the
server, so it is connected to it.

Could I verify if the clock gets set one way or the other? I could e.g.
force a clock offset through the commandline. Would that be a good test?
When should the internal time of the radio be correct again? Is it
synced hourly/daily/...?

>It should. What version are you using?

Radio 7.4.2-r8401
Server 7.4.2-29918
