I do, especially if I pay for the optional battery (...but it seems that An idle battery-powered Radio will automatically turn itself OFF after 20 minutes to conserve battery charge). My Bose will still sound an alarm in a power outage (9v b/u), the SB Radio with the battery option should be able to.
