It will use it's battery as backup for an alarm even if it turns itself
off, I tested it once it works. It turns itself on right before the
alarm.

But provided that the radio turned off itself, because it was on
battery and time to powersave, which it do a while after you stopped
playing music on it..

If -you- turn it really off (power it down)
with the off button, then it will not sound the alarm.
Thats deliberately designed so that you have a way to -really- turn it
off. No unexpected alarms from a device that power itself up ?

Standby or self powered down on battery = it will sound the next alarm

Powered down by you from any state =no alarm

So just put it in standby when it's your alarm clock ( a short push on
off button still showing the clock for you) I think it goes to standby
itself after a while when left on it's own.
