It will use it's battery as backup for an alarm even if it turns itself off, I tested it once it works. It turns itself on right before the alarm.
But provided that the radio turned off itself, because it was on battery and time to powersave, which it do a while after you stopped playing music on it.. If -you- turn it really off (power it down) with the off button, then it will not sound the alarm. Thats deliberately designed so that you have a way to -really- turn it off. No unexpected alarms from a device that power itself up ? Standby or self powered down on battery = it will sound the next alarm Powered down by you from any state =no alarm So just put it in standby when it's your alarm clock ( a short push on off button still showing the clock for you) I think it goes to standby itself after a while when left on it's own. -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: SB3 (soon to replaced by a Touch :) It is on preorder) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: Receiver (soon to be replaced by my SB3 and the SBR to be stuffed in a box in the attic ) Miscellaneous use: Radio (battery pack to be ordered) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77119 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
