I am using Squeezebox Server and don't use the alarm function, so my troubles with 7.5.1 are different from yours. But I did have trouble even using the Squeezebox Server.
Radio would just freeze up and no presets would work. Then the radio kept prompting me to "upgrade" to 7.5.0 when I already had 7.5.1 installed (along with that version on the Squeezebox Server). So I finally gave up and let it upgrade to "7.5.0" After it was done with that, my radio showed I was on version 7.5.1. After continuing to have problems with the radio freezing up, I uninstalled Squeezebox Server, downloaded version 7.5.0 again, and was prompted on my radio to go back to 7.5.0. No problems since. I think 7.5.1 was a bone tossed our way!
