I read through a few of these and don't doubt that you are having
problems. But, since I know that the kind of people reading through
these might be people like me researching the device prior to buying
it...

I just got one today. I used it for about an hour or two. That's not
a long time, I know. But, here's my experience.

I use an iMac, OS X 10.6 with a wireless network based on an Airport
Base Station and Express to extend it. I powered up the SBR and waited
for it to boot. It found my network, accepted the password and accessed
the network. It found an update and I waited for it to download and the
reboot.

No problems. While I waited, I dl'ed the server software on my iMac
and installed it. Signed up for a couple of the free services, input
my Pandora information...

The SBR was ready. I was listening to my local NPR stream in no time.
Very nicely done. I also got it to stream my Beatles shuffled playlist
from iTunes. Again, no problem.

I'm very happy with this product. Maybe that will change over time,
but right now, I think it's way cool.
