Sorry for the delayed response - been swamped this week. There are a few errors in the log on the server, but squeezeboxserver hasn't changed PIDs and neither has mysql, and while the squeezebox radio is doing this, there are no entries occuring in the squeezeboxserver log. The errors in the squeezeboxserver log look like they're related to this thread http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80149 . I'm getting "Error: Unable to uniquely identify row object with missing PK columns: id" messages, but they don't seem to relate to the problem I'm seeing on the SB Radio. Also, if the server were a problem, the wired versus wireless shouldn't make a difference.
Right now I'm actually playing mp3's off of my home server and it's playing them despite "losing" it's connection and reconnecting. The reconnection takes 2-4 seconds based on the popup message, during which time I can't use the interface. Given it repeats every 10 seconds it's quite annoying. I flood pinged the radio from the server and didn't see any packet loss, so it seems the network connection is reliable (and the box itself reports >80% signal strength) - also notice no problems on the SSH connection to the SB Radio. Anyone know what ports are used for the communication with the squeezeboxserver? Is it just 9000? I'm thinking I might try a tcpdump to see if that reveals anything.
