I think I'll give Juice a spin...sounds like it fits what I want to do.
And I'll configure it as you suggest.   One of the things I can't
figure out how to do with "Podcast Player" is delete individual
podcasts after I've listened to them.

I am running Squeezebox server and slowly understanding more about how
that works.
