Basically, any radio station that provides streaming audio to the internet is available on the Squeezebox Radio. Also available are audio podcasts. If you have favorite stations or programs, go to their websites and find out if their programs are available.
If you are not looking for anything in particular and just want to get an idea of the breadth of material available, you can browse the offerings on http://radiotime.com/index.aspx or for podcasts http://www.podcastalley.com/index.php Sometimes you can even get the audio from video programs. For instance, on the Squeezebox Radio, I can receive not only C-SPAN Radio, but also the audio from C-SPAN TV, C-SPAN2, and C-SPAN3. It's amazing what is available. It makes shortwave radio look meager. The advantage of Sirius is that you can get it when driving in your car. (Of course if you have one of those wireless broadband wi-fi receivers and a battery pack, you could take your Squeezebox Radio with you in the car.) -- mpower9 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mpower9's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33930 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81063 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
