I suppose it is a very special problem and as far as I know not many people have problems with scanning. So I suggest to at least look into the scanner log in the hope that this points to some strange file you have and then contact logitech support. If they were really aware of some open scanner problems they would have fixed it by now, so chances are high, that your problem is unknown and also won't be solved in the next version.
