Slate, I know about SQLite, had it installed a couple of times. But its still far from stable. Running rescans was a game of chance.
But the scanning times were indeed very fast, couldn't say the same for the user interface though. At the moment I'm running the server on my SheevaPlug with an attached 2,5" harddisk. The time from pressing play to showing the artwork is really killing me. If you do this with the web interface, you always wonder whats going on in the background.
