Don't lose faith yet. I had exactly the same problem and had to put in a
IP address in myself.
My DHCP works fine with all the other stuff I have connected to my
router, but my two SBRs and SB Touch had to be assigned an IP
manually.

If your router has 192.168.1.0 then get your device to be something
like 192.168.1.25 

Worked for me.
