Perhaps I spoke a bit too soon. After waiting approximately 5-10
minutes, the Radio finally does boot, after rebooting many times in
between. But, other problems still persist.

Most notably, the Radio is VERY sluggish. Every button press or knob
turn takes 2-3 seconds to register. Yes, it takes 2-3 seconds just to
adjust the volume 1 notch. Also, when I am able to manage to open a
station, the first several seconds of audio are mixed with static/white
noise, then the audio eventually drops altogther. It feels like the
processor is pegged, leaving nothing to process any input.

Thanks for the instuctions. I definitely missed the part about
unplugging, THEN holding the "More" button, and finally plugging back
in. I have confirmed these steps work.

What has puzzled me is that the factory resets do not seem to be doing
any significant "resetting". After a successful reset, the firmware is
still the same. The preset buttons are all still mapped to the same
stations. And it has remembered my squeezebox login and password. The
only thing it does is prompt for language (English) and wireless network
settings. Once I finish those steps, I'm back to the same sluggish home
screen.

I will say that during the reset process, the buttons and knobs are
running normally -- no delay on input whatsoever. So, it really does
point to something wrong with the regular software, since the factory
reset mode kicks in before the rogue process(es) eat up my processor
and cause the slow response time.

Neat! I didn't know you could SSH into the unit. I had to patiently
make my way through the slow menus to enable it, but once it was turned
on, I could SSH with no problems.

My messages log was only 50 Kb, so I don't think it is the culprit. I
moved it to messages.old just in case. I see a new messages log has
been started.

At this point, I have nothing else to blame but software. So, perhaps
I was screwed by the firmware update. I am running 7.5.1 r9009.

I really appreciate the input and timely responses. At this point, I
think I'd rather have the unit properly serviced, and have initiated
this via email to Logitech Support. However, I do welcome any further
ideas from the community. Thanks!
