I recently replaced an Clarus Plus with a Squeezebox Radio, to start playing a random selection of music at about 8AM in the spare room, which just happens to be where I get dressed in the morning. The Clarus streams from SBS just fine, but has a poor display. I got fed up of coming downstairs, wondering "what's that that's playing" and needing to go to a computer to find out.
So, this morning I'm in that situation. I go to my shiny new SB Radio, only to find that the Now Playing display is obscured by a "popup" asking me to either "Snooze" or "End Alarm". If I had been woken up by this, there's no way I'd be able to manipulate the scroll wheel/button: if I were coding a "special mode" for the alarm it would have to be something like "press any button and the radio plays louder". :) What I really want is to just have the radio switch on at a predetermined time. I don't need any snoozes, or fade-ins, I just want it playing already when I stagger downstairs, and I want to be able to see what it's playing. How do I accomplish this? Surely not cron and CLI? -- pallfreeman Oi! You! The sig separator is where you're supposed to stop reading.
