My experience is this. I am using mysqueezebox.com. The alarm turns the Radio on. I listen for a while, then turn the alarm off. Then I turn the Radio off--to standby with the digital clock. I go get breakfast and when I return to the bedroom, the clock is gone and the stopped station is showing on the screen.
At first I thought it was my imagination and that I had not put it in standby, but this morning I paid particular attention. Yes, the digital clock was on the screen when I left the bedroom and no it was not there when I came back. The station that I had been playing when I put it into standby was showing on the screen instead of the standby clock. Nothing is actually playing.
