I got SB about 2 weeks ago and have been slowly trying to figure out its
(most confusing) system of menus, functions, and features, not to
mention its weird terminology.

Slowly getting the hang of it. But one thing remains unclear to me.
When I go to an internet radio station, am I always going through
sb.com, which functions as a gatekeeper/processor/conduit?

Or am I going direct to the station's stream (as I would when accessing
its stream from my desktop at the station's website)?

So when I have constant signal drops, despite a strong wireless
connection, is it as possible that it is as much the station's fault as
it is sb.com's?

Someone else wrote that going through SBS is going to be more reliable
for streaming radio. Why would that be the case? Isn't that introducing
another level of complication?

If there is elsewhere a clear explanation of what SB does, please point
me there.

Dropouts are a major drag, and since they are in most cases remedied by
a restart of SB, I suspect there is something at work with either the
firmware or sb.com, meaning there is little I can do about it. Lacking
any real technical understanding, I am at the mercy of these
programmers.

Thank you!
