Jean - Although the Barbara Simpson show is not my cup of tea. If you want it, you should have it. Here's how:
1. Go to mysqueezebox.com on your computer. 2. Click on "my apps" tab. Podcast Player should appear on the list of installed apps. If it is not there, install it. 3. Click on Podcast Player. A list of all the podcasts to which you have subscribed will appear. At the bottom of the list it says "add a podcast feed". Below it is a box where you can put the URL for the Barbara Simpson Show. 4. Put this URL into the box http://www.ksfo560.com/sectionalRSS.aspx?id=36718 and click the button to "Add". Barbara Simpson Podcast will appear on your list of subscriptions. You can drag it to position it anywhere you want on the list and that is where it will show up on the Podcast Player menu on your radio. When you select the Barbara Simpson podcast, the screen will show a list of available shows starting with the most recent. You can do this with almost any podcast. The difficult part is finding the right URL. There is no standardized system. Often the websites try to force you to go through iTunes and don't make the direct URL clear. In this case, the RSS link did the job. Sometimes you just get there by trial and error. I have a podcast that will only work if I start it using the mysqueezebox.com remote function. If I try to access it directly from my radio or Touch, it gives me an error message. But once the list of programs is on the Touch or Radio screen, it has no problem with going from one to another. Getting podcasts to function correctly can be frustrating and some of the websites don't help. On one podcast, the list of shows comes up arranged by month with two years mixed together. I have to scroll down through the first four months to get to May and then wait for the title and date to scroll by to see if it is 2011 or 2010. What were they thinking?
